The most laid-back of the Tito’s venues, Cape Town has a street-front lounge bar with wi-fi and live sports on big screens, while inside international DJs play until late. Goan food and bar snacks available.

7Shopping

In line with its status as the tourist capital of Goa, Calangute has likewise grown to become the shopping capital. Flashy neon-lit international brand shops line the main Calangute–Candolim road. Upmarket gold and jewellery shops, boutique fashion stores and dozens of arts-and-craft emporia are also here.

However, it’s probably the small-time stalls that will catch the eye of most foreign visitors. Calangute and Baga have been swamped by Kashmiri traders eager to cash in on the tourist boom. There is a fantastic range of things to buy: Kashmiri carpets, embroideries and papier mâché boxes, as well as genuine and reproduction Tibetan and Rajasthani crafts, bronzes, carvings and miniature paintings. Check out the market on Baga Rd near Tito’s Lane to compare prices. This is the same sort of stuff you’ll see in abundance at the Anjuna flea market.
